California Trip Day 1 & 2

This was the fastest planned vacation that I have ever been on. We decided to go a week and a half before we left on July 5. We rented a little fuel-efficient Nissan and left Salt Lake around 8 AM. I think this car could have driven from Salt Lake to Las Vegas on one tank of gas.

We found out about the Cache Valley cheese outlet store in Beaver, so we had to stop there and pick up a bag of cheese curds.

A little while later we stopped in Vegas at the Circus Circus hotel for their buffet lunch. It really is one of the better hotel buffets down there. We also stopped at Fry's Electronics to pick up a cable for my mom's speakers. I would LOVE to have a Fry's in Salt Lake!

We arrived at my brother's house around 7 that evening. We were so excited to be with everyone. The boys wanted a treat, so we headed over to McDonalds (or as they say Old McDonalds) for dessert.

The next morning we spent playing all sorts of games with my nephews. It was a lot of fun! Then my brother took us on a tour of downtown Riverside which ended at Fairmount Park.

My brother has been taking guitar lessons and recently acquired an electric guitar. My mom asked him to play a little something for us.

That evening we went to the Redland's Bowl and saw The California Guitar Trio. They were amazing!
